Research Description
My research in computational biology evolves around two main subjects. One is high throughput sequence analysis, where we study prokaryotic translation, nonsense-mediated decay, and other applications in RNA Biology. The other is the thermodynamics and kinetics of RNA secondary structure formation, especially modeling of single molecule experiments involving optical tweezers and/or nanopores and protein-RNA interactions.
