Research Description

Dr. Malerba's research focuses on study of brain rhythms of sleep, and the role they play in cognition and function. We are interested in studying the link between sleep neurophysiology and function (e.g., cognitive performance, symptoms) in typical and atypical development. Analytical methods leverage data science approaches, computational modeling approaches focus on the biophysics of neurophysiology, and dynamical systems serve as the backdrop to build understanding of the relation between neural dynamics and function.
